AIX Version 4 Update CD-ROM

The CD-ROM contains optionally installable updates 
not contained on the AIX Version 4 product media. 
All updates on this media may be installed as a unit, or 
selected updates may be invidually installed. Also
contained on the media are instructions for identifying
the problems fixed, and installing all or onloy selected
updates. While most problems resolved by these
updates are not critical in nature, these instructions
also contain recommendations for specific updates in some environments.

-Obtaining the Installation Instructions-
1.) Log in as root
2.) Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and
type the following command. If your CD-ROM drive
is not /dev/cd0, substitute the correct device name
in the mount command.
mount -v cdrfs -o ro /dev/cd0 /mnt

cp /mnt/README* /tmp

unmount /mnt

The files /tmp/README and /tmp/README.html now
contain the instructions for installing updates from this
CD-ROM. View the installation instructions using your
web browser, or the more or pg command as in the
following examples.
