These files are various things dealing with the emulator that has been / is being discussed and developed on the na2sig mailing list. SoundReader is a provisional NeXTSTEP application that will allow you to transfer chunks of data from an Apple2 to a NeXT via sound in/out ports--no special hardware other than an audio cable is required! It's a hack, and slow, but it works. a2.tar.Z contains a very simple NeXTSTEP emulator with rudimentary features, and it's an interesting toy. But... The real emulator is zaniWok. This is currently under development, so buyer beware! It needs a special version of gcc to compile and there are tons of caveats, like requiring NeXTSTEP 3.0, but it's cool... so have at it. Note that this is a source distribution. The parts that require the newer gcc have .s files provided, so anyone should be able to build it without trouble. If you have troubles with the installation, the best thing to do is ask Chris Osborn (currently doing the development), Mat Hostetter (did most of the original work, especially the core), Don Yacktman, or na2sig (in which case you'll probably get a reply from Chris or Mat). See READMEs inside the distributions for e-mail addresses.
