Update for NetWare 5.1 on a Pentium 4 server.

To install NetWare 5.1 on Pentium 4 hardware, choose one of the following three
options based on your source files for the install:

RESP_ENU.TXT is to be used with an English only NetWare 5.1 CD. Copy
RESP_ENU.TXT to filename RESPONSE.TXT and follow the steps outlined. Failure to
use the correct response file will generate an error and won't work.

Option 1
*****************

Create a custom CD of NetWare 5.1 and replace the SYMCJIT.NLM inside of
SYS\JAVA_INS\JAVA.ZIP with the file included in this patch. Complete the
NetWare 5.1 server install as directed in the NetWare 5.1 Documentation.

Option 2
*****************

Install from the NetWare CD:
a) Copy the files RESPONSE.TXT, SYMCJIT.ICS, SYMCJIT.NLM to a floppy.

b) Boot the server using the NetWare 5.1 bootable CD.

c) Go through the install process as usual, until the license agreement screens
appears.

d) Place the floppy in the server's drive, and leave it in until the install is
completed.

e) Continue the install process, you will see:
Is this a new server or an upgrade? (Upgrade should be highlighted).
In the middle of the screen you will see the Options box, Hit the <Tab> key
until the word Continue is highlighted. {see the file bootpath.gif to see a
replica of the server console screen).

f) At the bottom of the screen, you push, <F3> to give the path of "A:".

g) Leave the floppy in the drive until the entire installation is complete.

Option 3
*****************

Create a directory named C:\NWUPDATE on the server's hard drive. Copy the file
SYMCJIT.NLM from this patch into the C:\NWUPDATE directory. Complete the NetWare
5.1 server install as directed in the NetWare 5.1 Documentation.

The file SYMCJIT.ICS will also need to be edited to add the following:

GetPath Flpy, 1, 'C:\\',''
GetPath sys, 1, 'SYS:\\', ''

CopyFile 0,0,1,2,0,Flpy,'NWUPDATE\\SYMCJIT.NLM','','',sys,'JAVA\\BIN','','',0

The file RESPONSE.TXT will need to be edited to add the following:

[NWI:Product Information]
Major Version=NetWare 5
Minor Version=10

[NWI:Install Script]
Script Location = C:\NWUPDATE\SYMCJIT.ICS

If you are installing from a floppy, you do not need to make these changes.

Installing Netware 5.1 on Pentium 4 hardware will cause the install to hang
when SYMCJIT.NLM is loaded.
