If you have a system where the IDE CD-ROM is on the second IDE controller, configure the controller from within the UnixWare Device Configuration Utility (DCU) during installation. To do this, follow the installation until you are prompted to "Install Host Bus Adapter Drivers". Install any HBAs that your system requires, including TF2228. Continue the installation until you see: (*) Continue Installation ( ) Enter The DCU (See CAUTION Above) Use the arrow keys to position the asterisk (*) beside the DCU option and press . Select "Software Device Drivers" from the DCU Main Menu. Select "Host Bus Adapters" form the Software Device Driver Selections Menu. Use the key to scroll through the HBA Driver list until the ide driver is displayed. Use the arrow keys to position the cursor on the ide selection. Press to display the "New Hardware Configuration" screen. Press to accept the values that are displayed. Press once again to display the "New Hardware Configuration" screen. Set the Unit number to 1. Use the key to move the cursor to the IRQ field and change the value to 15. Use the key to move to the IOStart field and change the value to 170. Use the key to move to the IOEnd field and change the value to 17f. Use the key to move to the MemStart field and change the value to 0. Use the key to move to the MemEnd field and change the value to 0. Press to apply the changes. The second controller is now configured. Press to return to the "Software Device Drivers Selection" menu. Select the "Return to DCU Main Menu" entry and press . Select "Apply Changes & Exit DCU" from the Main Menu and press . The installation should now continue by loading the hardware drivers. You will then see a "Select Installation Method" menu that includes these options: Install from CD-ROM Install from TCP Network Server Install from SPX Network Server Cancel Installation and Shut Down System You can now select CD-ROM as the installation media and proceed with the installation.
